Staff: very very friendly and helpful! I asked for a quiet room and they provided me with the most quiet room, a garden house in another building, two houses away from the main building. They helped me with all my questions regarding Edinburgh city. They were always very welcoming and gave us a "just like home" feeling. (10/10) Location: way better than any other busy location in the city center, a place to have some rest after a busy day. The rugby stadium of Murrayfield is visible from the other side of the road, beautiful lightings in the evening, and next to the rugby stadium a nice little park with the Water of Leith walkway. Great location to start your journey walking on the Water of Leith walkway to the National Galleries (15-20 minutes) up to Dean Village (20-25 minutes) and the Royal Botanic Garden (25-30 minutes). Only a 10-15 minutes bus ride to Princes Street/ Waverly Station (city center), with the bus stop being a 2 minute walk from the hotel, and many many busses passing by (most frequent: Lothian Buses). Way better than any other busy location in the city center, a place to have some rest after a busy day. (10/10) Room: warm and cozy, clean, all necessary extras available. (10/10) Hotel: consists of two buildings (one being 2 houses away from the main building, with a beautiful little garden), great architecture, nice and clean buildings (gives you a Scottish feeling right away)! (10/10) Parking: available for guests behind the main building. (10/10)

Cameron and staff were lovely and were always ready to accommodate your needs or offer help without being asked. We stayed in the house a couple buildings down from the main entrance room 8 and it was large, comfortable and a beautiful view of the garden. The water pressure was fantastic… when coming from the US, this is a plus. The hotel has its own restaurant and bar. The staff and the restaurant were just as lovely as the room staff and manager. They too went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I am gluten-free and each day Kyla remembered and had options ready for me. She even surprised me with a gluten-free dessert one day. Pat was also just as lovely and gave us all kinds of tips on what to do while in Edinburgh. I would recommend this hotel highly.

The location was great, only a few mins drive into the city centre with buses every few mins, including one to and from the airport (only takes 10 mins). The staff were so helpful and friendly and the accommodation was stunning. Everything was so clean and comfortable. When we had a problem, they sorted it straight away and ensured we had the best stay possible. I’ve been to Edinburgh several times in the past and this was the best property I’ve stayed at, hands down! This includes a number of chain hotels.

This was our 4th stay at Murrayfield and everytime we have been impressed but this time was exceptional. Great room, fantastic location. Just far enough out of the city but close for bus locations. We also LOVE Pat. She’s one of the main reasons we return each time. My mum and me have had a very tough year with personal circumstances and seeing Pat again after so long was really the breath of fresh air that we needed. Grateful for her friendship and kindness and lovely personality always.

Loved how close it was to the city centre, the bus stop is just around the corner. Beautiful location on a nice quiet street. The staff was very lovely at the reception. The hotel has a really cozy feel. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Appreciated the nice gestures, like my little happy birthday treat when we arrived, and complimentary bottles of water. Overall enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!
